Interview-led writing and ghostwriting should be governed by a written agreement that defines attribution, confidentiality, ownership, approvals and the permitted use of source material.
Accuracy and sources
Factual claims that materially affect a reader’s decision should be checked against appropriate primary or authoritative sources. Client memories and opinions should not be quietly converted into verified facts.
Editing
Developmental editing, copyediting and proofreading serve different purposes. Projects should use the level of editorial review appropriate to the manuscript rather than treating one pass as every kind of editing.
Corrections
If we identify a material error in our public educational content, we aim to correct the page rather than preserve an inaccurate statement for consistency.
